Brief History of Moore Contracting Ltd
Formed and incorporated in 1995, the original process carried out by Moore Contracting Limited was that of heating design and consultancy to the building industry, within a couple of years the company then became design and install contractor.
In 2003 the company is based in the Gloucestershire area centrally positioned for Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Avon, indeed anywhere along the M4 corridor. We have also expanded into Buckinghamshire and neighbouring counties.
The company although primarily is plumbing and heating also has a maintenance and servicing division. These are multi-trade and cover carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting, etc. and boiler and cylinder servicing. They are used by several large developers, including David Wilson Homes, Persimmon Homes, Charles Church, Letting Agencies, Housing Associations and Valuation Houses.
A commercial and electrical division is also up and running offering a complete package. Design is dealt with by our sister company D.D.P of Wareham, Dorset.
We have an experienced, qualified and a loyal workforce on all divisions out in the field including Gas Safe Engineers and NICEIC Qualified Electricians with our associated company R & B Electrical.
The office workforce have specific responsibilities cover all customer services issues including, after sales and maintenance, and procurement for the company along with estimating information. They liaise with customers and clients, leaving your own staff to concentrate on their own work. We also have a good working relationship with all manufacturers we use.
Our accounts team are responsible for monitoring all activities including payments, invoicing and general accounts procedures.
Microgeneration Certification Scheme
We have recently been accepted for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme which is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. MCS certifies microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS certifies microgeneration products used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS also certifies installation companies to ensure the microgeneration products have been installed and commissioned to the highest standard for the consumer. The certification is based on a set of installer standards and product scheme requirements.
MCS covers electricity generating technologies with a capacity of up to 50kW, and heat generating technologies with a capacity of up to 45kW. Currently, MCS covers the following technologies: Biomass, Heat Pumps (Air Source and Ground Source), Micro Hydro Turbines, Micro Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems, Pitched Roof Mounting Systems, Solar Photovoltaic, Solar Thermal, Wind Turbines.
Health and Safety
We take all Health and Safety extremely seriously, giving regular tool box talks, office and site specific inductions. We are in the process of gaining chartered status in the Institute of Occupation Safety and Health.
